Wayne Alvin Taylor

Wayne Alvin Taylor, Sr.  80 of Afton passed away Saturday, February 12,2022 in Charlottesville, VA.

He was born December 2, 1941 in Virginia to the late Walter Taylor, Sr. and Addie Rogers Taylor Madre.

Preceded in death by a son, Wayne Taylor, Jr. and step-son Christopher Clark; one grandson, Wayne Alvin Taylor; his siblings Walter Taylor, Jr., Gladys Bagwell, Dora Marie Garris and Judy Sturgis.

Wayne is survived by his wife Marcia Taylor, one son, Sherwood Taylor, three step-daughters, Constance Lee (Anthony), Freda Taylor (Craig), and Joy Paige (Eric); four sisters, Barbara Tindley, Norma Drummond (Sammy), Asia Nock, and Brenda White (Rev. Willie); four sister in-laws, 7 brother in-laws, Aunts, Patricia Orgias and Gloria Jean Rogers and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel with eulogist Bishop Melvin Grooms and Pastor Glenwood Morgan officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
