Warren Thomas Wells, 90, of Schuyler, VA died peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Cedars Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Charlottesville, VA., surrounded by his family.
He was born in Shipman, VA on April 15, 1932 and was the son of George Walker Wells and Sadie Goolsby. He was a heavy equipment engineer and worked for Martin and Gass, primarily along the east coast of the United States.
Warren was preceded in death by his brothers: George “Buck” Wells, Winfred Wells, Estes “Jimmy” Wells, Robert “Bobby” Lee Wells and his sisters: Virginia “Ginny” Davis, Theo White, Doris Dowdy, and Sally Ramsey. As well as his step-daughter, Leah Stockton.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Delia Davis-Wells, his children: Jeff Wells, Chris Wells; stepchildren: Vickie Baker, Gary, Davis, Sr. Grandchildren: Danny Wells, Shannon DeHart, Brittany Connally, Tommy Wells, Chris Baker, Gary Lee Davis II, Chuck Stockton, Tommy Stockton, Jennifer Arent. Great grandchildren: Olivia Connally, Victoria DeHart, Alexis Baker, Akira Lee, Mason Tripp Baker, Andy Trifiatis and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs at UVA Medical Center, Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, Encompass Health, Kindred Hospice, and the Cedars for their loving care of Warren during his illness.

A celebration of Warren’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, VA with Pastor Greg Wissinger of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Troy, VA officiating.
