Wardell Morton Williams

Wardell Morton Williams, 87, of Arrington passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at The Laurels of Charlottesville.

He was born on June 4, 1934 in Amherst County, a son of the late William Walter Williams and Dorothy Williams.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Williams and John Rucker and three sisters, Phyllis Rucker, Virgie Rucker, and Polly Rucker.

Wardell was a United States Army Veteran, a truck driver, and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Amherst.

He is survived by his companion and friend for many years, Jennie Ann Ellis; one nephew, Michael Rucker; one niece, Sandra Bardy; two sisters-in-law, Warnetta  Rucker and Doris Williams.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, Va. with Reverend Herbert Woodson, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the time of service.
