Violet Wray Taylor

Violet Wray Taylor 91 of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, at Fairmont Crossing in Amherst. Violet was the daughter of the late John and Agatha Wray.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son A. Rudoph (Rudy) Taylor Jr, siblings and spouses William Wray, John (Foster) Wray (Pauline), Ruth Miles (Harry), Martha Peck (Bill) and her former husband and father of her children A. Rudolph Taylor Sr.

She is survived by her First-born grandson and care giver Jason Mays (Melanie) and great-grandson Hunter Mays, sisters Patricia Weller (Jesse) and Charlotte White (d. William); and her partner Daniel Witt and his daughter Rebecca Reynolds. She will also be remembered by a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Wells Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston. Family visitation will be held from 1-2pm, Funeral service to follow at 2pm.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Lovingston.
