Timothy Michael Geelan

Timothy Michael Geelan, age 87 of Shipman VA passed away on February 1, 2023.

He was born May 4, 1935 in Tappan, New York a son of the late Edward Geelan and Rose Fleming Geelan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Sean Mara.

He is survived by his wife, Henrietta (Penny); sister Carla McElroy and her husband Jack; brother Gerry Geelan; daughter, Chris Anne (Geelan) Hein and her husband, Russ Hein; son , Lee and wife Stacey;  grandchildren,  Bryan Gates, Alyssa Gates, Stephani Pace, and great grandson, Connor Flynn Pace, along with many nieces and nephews.

Tim was a veteran of the Navy from 1954 to 1957 and moved onto becoming an accomplished musician and recording engineer. He worked with some of the most talented and popular musicians in the industry before retiring in 1996.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lovingston with Pastor Jeremy Humphrey officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before time of service.

A reception will be provided by the Ladies of Calvary Baptist Church following the service.
