Terry O'Neal Crawford

Terry O’Neal Crawford departed this life on December 13, 2024, at the Capital Region University Medical Center in Largo, MD. He was born in Charlottesville, VA., on July 21, 1963, the youngest of nine children, to the late Catherine Brown Crawford and Moses Crawford Sr. He grew up as a member of the family church, Elk Hill Baptist.

Terry graduated from Western Albemarle High School in 1981. In 1982, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. Along with being a Veteran he owned a landscaping company, Triple Crown Landscaping, which became his lifetime career. However, he also served as security and ‘bodyguard’ to many up-and-coming celebrities. He often recounted stories of those exciting times, and was pleased to have been a part of their moments of fame. He was the life of the party, and never met a stranger!

In addition to his parents, Moses and Catherine Crawford, he was preceded in death by four siblings: Sterling (Gail) Crawford, Lionel (Ike) Crawford, Le’Mon C. Cooper, and Moses (Otis) Crawford Jr., and brother-in law, Harold Milam.

He is survived by his daughter, Andrea L. Gardner (Carbon copy), two grandchildren; Coy O’Neal Johnson and Nia Lashawn Johnson. He was a proud father and Pop-Pop. He is also survived by four siblings; Marion C. Milam, George (Annette) Crawford, Maxine C. O’Neal, Annie L. Crawford; sister-in law, Jacqueline Crawford, brother-in law, Donald (Don) Cooper. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Cousins and other relatives and friends.

He also leaves behind his longtime, devoted partner, Rosa Fox.

“I’m unsure which pain is worse, the shock of what happened or the ache for what will never be.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church 8408 Thomas Nelson Highway, Lovingston with Rev. Sheldon Page, Sr. and Rev. Herbert Woodson, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
