Stephen Jeffery "Cotton" Knight

Stephen Jeffery “Cotton” Knight, 69, of Schuyler passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 in Charlottesville.

He was born March 15, 1955 a son of Norma Lee Wood Knight of Faber and the late Willard Franklin Knight.

Cotton was an equipment operator and an avid hunter who also loved to fish, but most of all he simply enjoyed spending time with his friends.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his sister, Janet Small and her husband, Freddie of Faber.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Rock Spring United Methodist Church Cemetery in Faber with Pastor Hillary Evans officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the fellowship hall of Rock Spring United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank all of the Doctors and nurses at Sentara Martha Jefferson and The University of Virginia Medical Center for all of their kind care over the years. The family would like to also thank the Hospice of the Piedmont for the special care given to Cotton in his final days.
