Ruby Kathleen Kidd

Ruby Kathleen Kidd, 93 of Wingina departed life on April 28, 2024 at home with her family by her side.

Ruby was born August 26, 1930 to the late Albert and Ethel Kidd.

Besides her parents she is proceeded in death by her husband, Lawrence; a daughter, Rachel Ballowe, and a son Milton Kidd.

Ruby spent the years of her life as a loving wife, nurturing mother, and a loyal friend.

She loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking for her family. Everyone was always welcome at Ruby‘s house. You were greeted with a smile, offered something to eat and of course, a cold glass of sweet tea.

The only thing Ruby loved more than her children were the relationship she had with God. She enjoyed reading the Bible, singing hymns while she did her housework and going to church on Sundays.

She is survived by her son Melvin Kidd (Beth) of Gladstone, Seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren who had the privilege to call her Granny. She also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and a special cousin Dorothy Savage.  

A funeral service will be held Thursday May 2, 2024 at 2PM at the Spears Mountain Baptist Church in Gladstone with Buck and Buddy Bryant Officiating. Interment will follow in the Kidd Family Cemetery in Wingina.

The Family will receive friends from 6–8pm,Wednesday May 1, 2024 at the Spears Mountain Baptist Church in Gladstone.
