Richard Jennings "Ricky" "Beep" Evans

It is with a broken heart to tell you all that my wonderful, amazing, loving, handsome husband has gone to be with our Lord and Savior.

Richard Jennings “Ricky” “Beep” Evans, 64, of Schuyler died Monday, January 8, 2024 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.

He was born on August 24, 1959 a son of the late Howard Jennings Evans and Betty Jane Napier Evans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Buddy, and Bruce Evans.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Tracy Evans; his daughter, Mindy “Toot” Evans and Anthony Shore of Charlottesville who remembers him as an amazing father, her everything and best friend; four brothers, Steve Evans and Jane of Schuyler, James Evans and Kathy of Scottsville, David Evans and Pat of Piney River, and Clayton Evans and Diane of Lovingston; two sisters, Diane Evans and Doc Thomas of Schuyler and Trudy Londeree of Faber; a special uncle, Otha Evans; two special friends, “Bubba” and “Doc” and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Evans Family Cemetery 215 Lyons Hollow, Schuyler, VA 22969 with Mike Wooten officiating.

Following the service the family will receive friends at the Walton’s Mountain Museum 6484 Rockfish River Road, Schuyler, Virginia 22969.
