Peoples Jackson "Jackie" Spencer

Peoples Jackson “Jackie” Spencer, 81 of Faber, VA, died peacefully at his home on February 20, 2025.

He was born on February 7, 1944, son of the late Andrew Jackson “Jack” Spencer and Virginia Pauline (Harris) Spencer.

He was a graduate of Nelson County High School, Class of 1963. He worked at Virginia Metal Crafters, Acme and University of Virginia where he retired in January 2009. He was a member of Fleetwood Harmony Masonic Lodge No. 92 of Lovingston.

He is survived by his wife, Diana; his Uncle Joseph Harris (Pat) of Texas and Aunt, Ruby Amick of Charlottesville; his sister, Ruby Anne Morris (Al) of Charlottesville; his children, Kelly Mays (Kevin), Catina Seitz (Jon), Michele “Micky” Bowman, and Tadd Bowman (Beth); his grandchildren, Eric Mays (Rebecca), Justin Mays (Virginia), Kalley Seitz (Hunter) and Megan Seitz; his great-grandchildren, Tanner and Olivia Mays as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Ridgecrest Cemetery in Lovingston with Pastor John P. Campbell officiating.

Masonic Rites will be accorded by Fleetwood Harmony Lodge No. 92 of Lovingston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nelson County High School Athletic Boosters Club or Hospice of the Piedmont.
