Nannie Mae Moyer

Nannie Mae Moyer passed away April 17, 2025 surrounded by her daughters and their families.

She was born July 7, 1926 in Buckingham, VA to Willie and Annie Branch.

She is survived by her six daughters, Emma Ragland, Helen Beasley (Michael), Pat Wright (Dan), Linda Viar (Boonie), Renee Arnold (Bill) and Hope Hite. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and eighteen great- great-grandchildren and her siblings, Georgie Cash, Becky Gibson (Phil) and John Branch (Gail).

Nannie was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry William Bryant, her second husband, James W Moyer Jr., her grandmother, Cora Bailey Taylor, who raised her, parents, Willie and Annie Branch, daughter, Sherri Moyer Brooks and sons-in-law, Robert Ragland, Gene Stevens and Randy Hite and her siblings, Christine Branch, Willie (Boo) Branch, Leslie Grey Ragland, James Branch, Lucille Wiseman and Brenda Ragland.

Nannie loved cooking for her family and friends. She had a green thumb and enjoyed shopping trips to Goodwill, always looking for a treasure. Nannie read her bible daily, completing it multiple times. She was blessed to have a special friend, Ruby Morse, who the family will always be thankful for.

Family night will be held Monday, April 21, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells/ Sheffield Chapel, Lovingston, VA.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. also at Wells/ Sheffield Chapel.

Interment to follow at The Davis Family Cemetery in Shipman, VA.
