Leonard Harold Lynch

Leonard Harold Lynch, age 67 of Lovingston died Tuesday December 28, 2021 at his home in Lovingston.
Born February 12, 1954 he was a son of the late Efride Charlie Lynch and Jessie Jones Lynch.
Leonard was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He also served his community as a member of the Waynesboro Kiwanis Club, Waynesboro Masons and as an auxiliary member with Preston L. Yancey Fire Department.
Leonard served many years as a deacon in local churches from Roanoke to Stuarts Draft. He was in the insurance business for 46 years. Most recently, he was an Allstate Agent in Waynesboro, Va for 21 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Debra Lynch; a son, Brian Lynch and wife Anne; a daughter, Jennifer Irvine and husband, Matt; and four brothers, E.C. Lynch, Levi Lynch, Donald Lynch and Burt Lynch. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Austin Eagle, Arianna Hoover, Taylor Irvine, Cayden Fitzgerald, Ayden Irvine and Sawyer Irvine.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday January 2, 2022, at the Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Dr. Michael Curry and Pastor Jeremy Humphrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery in Lovingston.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. It is suggested that those in attendance wear a mask and observe social distancing when possible. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the UVA Emily Couric Cancer Center and Hospice of the Piedmont for their excellent care.
