Jordan Winston

Jordan Winston, 81, of Afton, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 19, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was born August 20, 1943 in Virginia, the son of the late Willie Andrew Winston and Francis Marie Fitch Winston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Josephine Stewart Winston; two brothers, Willie Winston and Harry Winston; and two sisters, Millie Johnson and Denise Fitch.

Jordan is survived by his son, Everett Hobson of Waynesboro; his step-daughter, Doretha Givens (Leslie) of Afton; three foster children, Mary Coles of Waynesboro, George Coles of Lynchburg, and Donna Fitch of Chesterfield; three brothers, John Winston (Colista), George Winston (Delores) and Thomas Winston (Patrice); five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Hebron Baptist Church, 66 Tanbark Drive, Afton with Bishop Clyde D. Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Eagle Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Hebron Baptist Church.
