John Herman Stone

John Herman Stone, 64, of Arrington Virginia died Saturday 23 November 2024 at his home in Arrington. He was born 2 February 1960 in Albuquerque New Mexico.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Barbara Lee Coleman-Stone, sister Petite Louise Stone-Hally, Niece Summer Ludders-James, Step-Daughter Sara Lynn Reynolds-Pannel, her Husband Jason Eric Pannel, and Granddaughters Alexis Lee Pannell and Laurel Belle Pannell.

He was preceded in death by his Father Fred Stone, Mother Joan Louise Lovejoy, Foster-Parents Kenneth Conn, and Barbara Conn.

John’s young life was reminiscent of a Jack Kerouac lifestyle, eventually landing him and his sister in foster care when they were very young. He remained part his Foster Family the Conn’s, following them to Truckee California in the 1978, until the passing of Ken and Barbara in 2011 and 2012.

He married his wife of 22 years, Barbara Lee Coleman on 18 December 2001 in Sunnyside California. Truckee California was his home for 30 years before moving to Coleville California in 2009. Wellington Nevada became his home in 2014 until the move to Arrington Virginia in May of 2024 to be near his step-daughter and her family.

He died too young and will be sorely missed.
