James Edward (Jimmy) Harris Jr. of Faber VA entered into his eternal heavenly home on 19 November 2021.
Jimmy was born on 22 August, 1950 to the late James E. Harris and Anna Ogden Harris.
Jimmy was married for 51 years to the love of his life, Erma Sue Duncan Harris.
Jimmy is survived by Erma Sue and their three children, Erma Louise Harris (Jason) of Lovingston, James Edward (Jay) Harris III (Crystal) of Arrington and Tiffany Harris Parsley (Kallan) of Faber. He is also survived by his greatest joy in life, his five grandchildren: Zach Harris (Boston), Quentin McKenna (North Carolina), Dylan McKenna (California), Grace Harris (Arrington) and Charlotte Parsley (Faber) as well as his best buddy..his handsome Yorkie Bodhi.
Jimmy is also survived by two brothers and one sister; Milton (Teeney) Harris (Karen) of Staunton, Iris Anne Holmes (Steve) of Waynesboro and Stuart Harris (Trudy) of Shipman.
Jimmy spent his life as a heavy equipment operator. He took great pride in assisting his father and brother with the development of Wintergreen and helped successfully execute the expansion of Lake Monocan into the majestic place it is today. In later years, Jimmy enjoyed driving a dump truck for Ken Williams in Charlottesville.
Jimmy's graveside service will be Tuesday, 23 November, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Adial Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Michael Hevener and Pastor Clyde Mawyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in Jimmy's memory to your local volunteer fire and rescue squad.
