Henry William Washington, Jr.

Henry William Washington, Jr., 59, of Shipman, Virginia departed this life on March 20, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on December 9, 1964 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late Henry William Washington, Sr. and Marion Turner Washington of Shipman.

Henry was a hard worker as well as a free spirit. To know him was to love him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Rommell Washington. 

Henry is survived by his loving mother, Marion Washington and his long time companion, Doris Anderson both of Shipman; two brothers, Ronnie Washington of Buckingham and Steve Washington (Marie) of Arrington; one sister, Sherry Clifton (William) of Shipman; two step-children, Tammy Anderson and her children, Terrance and Jessica Eddins and their children and Dale Anderson of Verona; nephews, Steven, Darius, Ta’Shawn, Lathan, Micah, Xavier, and Jeremiah; nieces, Kezley, Justice, and Alivia as well as a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, 828 Front Street, Lovingston, VA 22949 with Rev. Sheldon Page, Sr. officiating and Minister Lucy Barnett assisting.

The family will receive friends following the service.

The family wishes extends thanks to each and every act of kindness shown to us during the homecoming of our loved one.  We also gratefully appreciate all your expressions of love through your prayers, kindness, visitations and sympathy during the bereavement of our loved one.   We pray Gods continued blessings upon each of you.
