Ernest Lee Henderson

Ernest Lee Henderson 82 years old of Arrington Virginia, Passed away on Saturday December 14, 2024.

He was born December 26, 1942 in Tye River, Virginia to the Union of Minnie Bell Randolph, and Willis Aaron Henderson, Sr. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Minnie B. Henderson and Willis A. Henderson, Sr., and Three sisters, Rosalie Henderson, Annie B. Bowling, Lottie M. Tucker, and two Brothers, Emmitt H. Henderson, and Willis A. Henderson Jr. 

Ernest was a self employed, entrepreneur for most of his adult Life. He secured the necessary tools for the trade, setup shop, gave complimentary hair cuts to his nephews to gain the Practical experience he needed, and honed his skills as a barber. He also functioned as a skilled domestic & handy-man where he practiced his skill to provided services to family, friends, and neighbors in the community.

Ernest resided in Nelson County. He was well known,, and loved by all who knew him. Ernest had a big, kind and generous heart. He enjoyed a long, simple but good life.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one brother, Chestine R. Henderson, and a host of nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held, January 4, 2025 at the Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, 828 Front Street, Lovingston, Va., with Rev. Sheldon Page officiating. Visitation hour will be held at 12:00 PM In the Chapel followed by the service at 1:00 PM

Ernest will be greatly missed, but his spirit will forever inspire those of us who know and love him.
