David Wayne Robertson

David Wayne Robertson, 62 of Wingina passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Bon Secours Hospice in Mechanicsville after an almost three year battle with lung cancer.

Born in Hampton Virginia on August 3, 1960, he was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Leslie Robertson, Jr. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved gardening and spending quality time with his mother. He was a Vineyard Operator at Trump Vineyards.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy McCormick Robertson of Wingina; daughter, Brandy Robertson of North Carolina; siblings Janet Salmon (Carl Hill) of Mechanicsville; Kenny Robertson (Lisa) of Quinton; Pam Nantz (Doug) of Rustburg; and Jerome Robertson of Wingina; and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends and family from 3-5 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel. 

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the Robertson Family Cemetery with Pastor Richard K. McCormick officiating.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful medical care given by UVA Emily Couric Cancer Center and hospital and Bon Secours Hospice.
