Daniel Lee Dettweiler, Sr.

Daniel Lee Dettweiler, Sr., 73, of Lovingston, Virginia, died Sunday evening, August 25, 2024 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Daniel was born in Rocky Mount, Virginia on October 11, 1950 to the late Wilbur Benjamin and Catherine Forrester Dettweiler. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

 Daniel grew up in Waynesboro Virginia, until his family moved to Asheville, North Carolina in 1961. He returned to Virginia in 1984 to spend the remainder of his life. Daniel leaves behind his children, grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
