Daniel Massie Bryant

Daniel Massie Bryant, aka Danny, was born on March 28, 1961 and passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

He was a son of the late Harold (Ray) Massie Bryant and Margaret Hazel Rudin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Darlene Bryant.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debra Bane Bryant; his daughter, Jessica Hailey and boyfriend, Jimmy; daughter, Erica Bryant and his four grandchildren, Asher Bryant, Michael Hailey, Abagail Gibson and Emma Gibson. He is also survived by his sister, Donna McCauley and brother-in-law, George McCauley; sister, Karen Holly McLaughlin and brother-in-law, Donald McLaughlin; and sister, Margaret Ruth Johnson and brother-in-law, Marvin Johnson along with numerous nephews and nieces and cousins.

Danny was cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His heart was incredibly large, overflowing with compassion for others. He loved his floor business and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, no matter the job. Nothing was impossible for him. Danny had a passion for music, often expressing himself through the songs he created. His love for God and songwriting shone brightly in his life. His favorite verse and inspiration was Romans 10:17 -“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. He also found joy in tending to his yard. He also loved fishing and spending time with his dog, Molly. His absence will be deeply felt throughout the community as many considered him as family of their own.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Pastor Tyler Lucas officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel and at other times at the home of his wife.
