WOODSON, Charlotte (‘Kitty’) Rebecca at 83 transitioned peacefully within her residence on 22 October 2024 after enduring an entanglement with an elusive criminal, Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer.
She was known by family and friends to have a flair for baking, a vivacious personality, and an extensive vocabulary more than highly proficient at knowing more swearwords than most in a lifetime.
Born on 24 July 1941, Kitty witnessed incredible changes to the world as she pursued and achieved the status of an accomplished CNA: Kitty cared for and assisted many ailing individuals within the Nelson County and Amherst County, Virginia communities.
She was the beloved mother of Esther (late Tom, Jr.), Daniel, Sr., Alpha (Willie), Douglas, Sr. (late Nicole), and Dotti Hart-Kiser (John). Kitty was the proud grandmother of Prennis (Brooke), Brandon (Heather), Douglas, Jr. (Trang), Tamisha, Coty (Brittany), Sarah, Ariana, and Daniel, Jr., and grateful great grandmother of Haley, Quintin, Ayden, Castiel, Gabriel, Nevaeh, Alaya, Dixie, Renesmee, and Boddi: further survived by sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family expresses gratitude for services provided by both the staff of Simply S & B, Shipman, Virginia and Hospice of the Piedmont, Charlottesville, Virginia: in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Piedmont is kindly encouraged.
Following cremation, a family reserved ceremony will occur.
Arrangements by Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, Lovingston (434-263-4097).
