Bobbie Ray Loving departed life on October 11, 2022 peacefully at his home.
He was born on February 3, 1940 in Shipman Virginia to the late Massie T. Loving and Alease Washington.
He was preceded in death by his wife 51 years Viola Ina Loving of Esmont Virginia; brothers, Massie Jr. (Pete), Harry, Jessie, John and Warren; sisters, Caroline Jones and Corrine White.
He leaves behind four children and one step child. Four sons, Thomas Mills Jr. of New Jersey, Quentin Ray Loving of Charlottesville, Virginia, Anthony Vincent Loving and his wife, Brenda Moss of Martinsville Virginia, and Shawn Loring Loving and his wife, Maria of Del Carmen of Texas; one daughter, Vanessa Maria Loving of Esmont Virginia; 9 Grandchildren; one surviving brother, Leonard Loving Sr. and late wife, Marylin of Shipman Virginia; two surviving sisters, Mary Davis of Hagerstown Maryland and Josephine Loving of Charlottesville Virginia. He also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bobbie attended Nelson Training High School.
Bobbie was a kind and devoted husband, father and friend. He was a soft-spoken man. He enjoyed fixing automobiles, nature, and was quite a handyman.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, VA with Pastor Lloyd Feggans officiating.
Interment will follow in the Loving Family Cemetery in Shipman, VA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Monetary donations be made to Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel.
