Marty and his wife Nancy loved Christmas. They owned a Christmas store together for many years in the Waynesboro/Staunton area. After retirement, Marty continued his love of Christmas by locating and researching beautiful Christmas collectables, which he offered to others on his online store.
Marty was passionate about nature. He loved animals and cared deeply for his furry children. Marty showed his love in many ways including in his photography. The Lord blessed him with the ability to capture nature with a camera the way God created it.
Above all, Marty loved the Lord. He lived every day with a passion to share the love of Christ with others. To honor Jesus and encourage family and friends, he shared a devotional by email every morning. He was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church and was known as a faithful, funny and kindhearted man who enjoyed talking and making others laugh.
His family will miss him dearly but know without a doubt that he is with Jesus. “Everyone who calls on the name of the lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, Virginia with Pastor Bill McCaskill officiating.
